My client, a leading provider of catering and facilities services, is seeking a Temporary Kitchen Porter to join the team for temporary cover at professional sites in Cavan, Co. Cavan

Position Overview:

As the Kitchen Porter, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of a busy kitchen in Cavan. You will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards, ensuring all kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils are kept clean, safe, and ready for use.

This is a hands-on role that requires reliability, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The position offers full-time hours from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, making it ideal for someone seeking structured daytime shifts with an immediate start.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a kitchen porter or in a similar cleaning role
• Valid Manual Handling certificate required
• Full right to work in Ireland
• Good level of spoken and written English
• Ability to work independently and follow kitchen hygiene protocols
• Immediate availability

Responsibilities:

• Cleaning of kitchen areas, equipment, floors, and surfaces
• Operating the dishwasher and maintaining a steady supply of clean cookware
• Waste disposal and general tidiness of the kitchen
• Supporting the team with stock organisation and light prep if required
• Adhering to food safety and hygiene standards at all times
