JOB DESCRIPTION

My client, a high-profile hospitality venue based in North Dublin, is seeking an a skilled and passionate Banquet Chef to join their team.

Position Overview:


As Banquet Chef, you will play a central role in the preparation and execution of food for a variety of high-volume events, including weddings, conferences, and corporate functions. You will work closely with the Executive Chef and Sous Chef to ensure food is delivered to the highest standards of quality, consistency, and presentation.

This is a full-time, permanent role offering a competitive salary of up to €45,000 per year, depending on experience. The schedule will vary in line with event bookings and will include evenings and weekends, so flexibility is essential. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled chef seeking stability, structure, and long-term growth within a respected, professional hospitality environment

This is a permanent role, which will involve working for my client directly on a permanent basis, this is not an agency or short term role. I am assisting my client in finding suitable candidates to work for them directly.

Requirements:


• Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in a similar Banquet Chef or Senior Chef role in a hotel or events venue
• Strong organisational and time management skills in high-volume settings
• A strong understanding of event service logistics and plating systems
• In-depth knowledge of HACCP, food hygiene, and allergen management
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, based on event schedules
Must have full right to work in Ireland

Responsibilities:


• Prepare and execute dishes for weddings, corporate functions, and banqueting events
• Supervise and coordinate prep schedules to meet event timelines and service standards
• Ensure consistent portioning, presentation, and quality across all plated and buffet services
• Work with the senior kitchen team to manage staffing and kitchen resources during events
• Ensure full compliance with HACCP and food safety regulations at all times
• Support stock rotation, waste control, and inventory management in the banqueting section
• Communicate effectively with front-of-house and event teams for seamless service delivery
• Assist in menu planning and tastings when required
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the banquet kitchen and associated areas
• Mentor junior chefs and ensure training is aligned with kitchen standards
