JOB DESCRIPTION

My client, a high-profile hospitality venue based in North Dublin, is seeking an experienced Bar Manager to oversee their bar operations.

Position Overview:


As Bar Manager, you will take full responsibility for the smooth day-to-day operation of the bar, ensuring outstanding service delivery, strong team performance, and effective cost management. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring a proactive, customer-focused professional with a passion for hospitality and proven experience in managing high-volume service environments.

This is a full-time, permanent position offering a competitive salary of up to €50,000 per year, depending on experience. The role is based on a flexible roster, with regular evening and weekend shifts required in line with business needs. This is a permanent role, which will involve working for my client directly on a permanent basis, this is not an agency or short term role. I am assisting my client in finding suitable candidates to work for them directly.

Requirements:


• Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in a Bar Manager or Senior Supervisor role within a high-volume hospitality environment
• Strong leadership and team management abilities
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Strong understanding of beverage cost control, stock management, and cash handling procedures
Flexible, hands-on, and solutions-oriented approach
• Knowledge of HACCP and health & safety best practices
• Ability to thrive in a busy, guest-focused environment
Must have full right to work in Ireland

Responsibilities:


• Lead and manage the bar team to deliver a consistently excellent guest experience
• Prepare effective staff rosters in line with business needs and cost targets
• Monitor and manage beverage stock, wastage, and ordering procedures
• Ensure compliance with health & safety, licensing laws, and hygiene standards
• Oversee cash handling procedures and compliance with company accounting policies
• Train and support team members to deliver service excellence and product knowledge
• Respond quickly to guest and employee concerns, resolving issues professionally
• Work closely with other departments to coordinate bar service for group bookings and events
• Maintain a strong presence on the floor, engaging with guests and driving sales
• Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and continuous staff training
• Monitor and analyse bar performance, contributing to cost control and revenue growth
